A little help finding quiet.

Support · Updated October 2, 2026

CampShhh brings US campground discovery, selected public-source noise research and booking preparation together. Version 2.0 adds the daylight Trail Atlas design, booking guidance, timing calculations and personal plans.

We do not make reservations, monitor live inventory or guarantee a quiet stay.

What does a noise estimate mean?

The 1–5 scale runs from quieter to louder. Version 2.0 interprets dated, firsthand public reports where enough independent evidence is available. An estimate includes sources, dates and limitations; it is not a decibel measurement or a platform’s star rating. Small samples and changing conditions limit what it can predict.

Research coverage is incomplete. “Unknown” or “Research pending” means there is not enough supported evidence, not that a campground is quiet. We do not turn unverified historical app scores into current research estimates.

Can I submit a rating or report?

Yes. Open a campground and choose Enable my contributions. A quick verification creates a guest account without requiring a name or email. You can then share a 1–5 noise rating, choose the month you stayed, write a field report, mark a report helpful or flag a problem.

Keep reports factual and family-friendly. A report’s menu also lets you hide a contributor on this device. Browsing, Saved and personal plans remain available without enabling contributions.

How do camper ratings affect the score?

Camper noise ratings use the latest rating from each guest account and remain separate from public-source research. Written reports add context; helpful votes do not change the score. A guest account does not prove that a stay occurred. Small samples are an early signal, not a guarantee of a quiet visit.

Why can’t I post?

Contributions require an internet connection, a verified guest session and available account services. Keep exploring cancels verification without preventing browsing. After an uncertain submission, refresh the reports before posting again to avoid duplicates. Daily and per-campground limits help prevent spam.

How do booking dates work?

Open the Booking field guide and check the linked official operator. Where a researched rule supports it, the calculator estimates a reservation opening date. An exact release time is shown only where its time and time zone are supported. Minimum stays, arrival-day restrictions, loops and seasonal exceptions can change the result.

Availability is checked on the operator’s site. Community tips describe experiences and are not official rules. Check the source and its review date before acting, and keep alternative dates or sites ready.

Do my plans and reminders sync?

Saved places and personal plans live on this device. Reminder delivery depends on notification permission and iOS settings. A calendar export creates a separate copy after you save in the system calendar editor. Editing or deleting a CampShhh plan does not change that calendar copy. Version 2.0 does not offer campground-follow push updates on iPhone.

Why is a campground missing or incorrect?

Campground locations come from a US-focused catalog that includes OpenStreetMap data. It is not a complete inventory, and named places or boundaries can be wrong. Send us the campground’s name, state and official link so we can review it. Unknown booking rules or noise scores are shown honestly.

What if search or the keyboard gets stuck?

Use the keyboard’s Search or Done control to dismiss it, or return to Explore. Version 2.0 keeps focused fields and important actions within the scrollable area. If a button is still covered, send your iPhone model, app version, text-size setting and a redacted screenshot.

The bundled discovery catalog can be browsed offline. Maps, community reports, account services, linked websites and Apple purchases need internet access. For a persistent loading problem, close and reopen the app and contact support with the steps that reproduce it.

How do tips work?

Kindling, Campfire and Bonfire are optional consumable purchases processed by Apple. They support development and unlock no features. Only confirm a purchase if you intend to pay. For a charge or refund, use Apple’s Report a Problem service.

How do I delete my reports or guest account?

Open About. Choose Delete contributions only to remove contributions while keeping your guest account, or Delete guest account to remove both. Saved places, personal plans and Apple purchases remain.

Wait for confirmation. If a request is interrupted, use the account-status control. Do not reinstall to resolve a pending deletion because that can remove your recovery information. Contact support if the result remains uncertain.

How do I remove an earlier report?

Contact us with the campground and approximate date. Clearing app data does not remove a server submission. We may need independent proof of ownership to avoid removing someone else’s report. Do not send passwords, authentication tokens, deletion receipts, purchase receipts containing private account details or recovery codes.
